Hey Friends! I retired from public education in June 2013 after completing 15 years as an instructional technology coordinator and as an an English teacher for 15 years prior to working in technology. I was privileged to work with Vicki Ventura, my best friend in the world, and we began EnvisionEd Consulting, LLC., in July 2013.
We use our good and bad experiences to help school districts plan and implement computers, iPads, Chromebooks, and other tech tools. We also research the appropriate apps, software and hardware, and offer staff development.
Our deep love is helping teachers in every area of technology use in the classroom. We work with educators to use any means possible, including technology, to engage students in their own learning. Watch for new FREE online offerings soon!
I am also an Independent Consultant for Usborne Books & More and LOVE to share these wonderful books with everyone. The books are my Yin to the Yang of days full of technology!
I am a proud Google Innovator and works to support instructional technology at the national level. I am a member of the Texas Computer Educators Association as well as the ISTE and is a frequent presenter at their conferences.
Of course, let’s be real! I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, and I relish my time and experiences with family and friends. I might even document a bit of the peaks and valleys of home life, too.

Just wondering which version of the iPad are you using, and whether you are using the wi-fi only or the 3G/wi-fi version.
I am outside of the US teaching English as a foreign language and I am looking into integrating our classrooms with ipads. Let me know of any tips, sites, etc that you can suggest.
Thanks & big up to your website!!!
Hello! We use the iPad2 wifi only version of the iPad. There are several great sites which help with iPad integration and learning apps. There is an iPad Users Ning which is helpful, too. I will put a list together of great iPad and integration sites and blog that, too. To start, you might look at these sites:

Apple’s Challenge Based Learning: http://www.challengebasedlearning.org/
Thanks so much for your response. Let me know if I can help.
Sounds like you and I are almost in the exact same boat! I’m a few months in to distributing ~650 ipads to middle school students and I perform many of the same functions. We should definitely chat sometime!
That would be great! I would love your input. Do your devices go home with the students? Where are you located?
Thanks for replying!
